I also would highly recommend watching Netflix shows in the language you are learning. All from using (and dedicating) my time and energy between RS and DL. The main difference between the two apps is their approach to language instruction. But I can tell you that between using these two apps my French comprehension is nearly at par with my Spanish comprehension. The reason I mention my Spanish experience is my variable in comparing it to my French comprehension. Unlike Rosetta Stone, Babbel does not offer a lifetime payment, which means that if you stop paying the monthly subscription fee, which ranges from 7-10 a month, you’ll no longer have access to their content. It broadens your knowledge of that language and really enforces repetition so that those words and phrases stick in your head, especially with their listening/speaking features. Duolingo has helped IMMENSELY with my vocabulary.Each lesson typically contains a core, 30-minute learning module, as well as 3 to 15 supplemental drills that cover pronunciation, listening, grammar, reading, and writing. However, it would take me a really long time to sit through all the lessons until I can speak French fluently. In comparison to Rocket Languages, Rosetta Stone’s lessons are fairly different.
